Lenche Zdravkin has welcomed thousands of refugees and migrants who have passed through North Macedonia on their route towards western Europe. At her home in Veles, located on a train line that the migrants use to guide their path, the travelers can find shelter, food and water, as well as a place to rest and recover before continuing their arduous journey. But perhaps most importantly, they find warmth and sympathy from a kind stranger. 'I see my children in all of the boys that come to my home,' Lenche says, who is also known by migrants as 'Mother Lenche', the 'Woman of the Railways'and 'Angel of the Refugees'.
